Last weekend we had the opportunity to visit two of our great friends that live in Chicago! Kyle and Rachel have been together for a little over a year and WE actually introduced them!! Kyle was Matts roommate in college and Milea has known Rachel since elementary school! Rachel moved up to Chicago around 10 months ago and we have been meaning to go visit her ever since.
The weekend started with a night of fun including some beer pong before heading out to an old bank that had been converted into a pretty cool bar. The decor was awesome, the vault was converted into a private room and all the P.O. Boxes were turned into an amazing statement wall!

Matt and Milea at Wrigley Field! |
On Saturday we started the day by walking to Wrigley Field. We were even able to see the Cubs Christmas tree! Just across the street from the field there was an awesome bar called Sluggers. The 2nd floor of the bar had 5 batting cages, basketball games, and ski ball!! Needless to say, Matt and Kyle enjoyed hitting a few balls! Shortly after having some fun at Sluggers we headed to Red Ivy (a Purdue bar) to watch the Purdue basketball game. The bar was full of people dressed in tackey Christmas sweaters for a bar crawl which was fun to see!
Once the game was over we headed downtown to do a few tourist-like things. We rode the Red Line into the city and walked down Michigan Ave checking out all the holiday decorations and store windows! We were able to go see Marylin, The Bean, The Ice Rink, and even the Faces.

After sightseeing we had one more night to hit the town! We headed out to McGee's in Lincoln Park where we had a great time listening to a band play and spending some time dancing and singing! In the end it was an amazing weekend in Chicago with the perfect balance between going out and acting like tourists! We are so lucky to have such great friends! We cannot wait to plan another trip up to visit!
Thank you again Kyle and Rachel!
